We welcome applicants from all regions of Brazil \=D **Responsibilities and Duties** On a day-to-day basis, we expect you to manage the following processes: * Lead the data architecture technically in a Lakehouse environment, ensuring scalability, performance, and security; * Act as a bridge between business areas, data engineering, and analytics teams, translating business needs into technical data solutions; * Define, evolve, and standardize the data architecture on the Databricks platform (clusters, notebooks, Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables – DLT); * Design and implement batch and streaming data pipelines, including full and incremental (CDC) loads from source systems (e.g., Oracle) into the Lakehouse; * Ensure best practices in data governance, including cataloging, security, lineage, and technical documentation; * Define strategies for partitioning, modeling, and optimizing Delta Lake tables for high-volume data; * Support data development teams in resolving complex issues related to performance, architecture, and data quality; * Conduct technical code reviews (Python, SQL, notebooks) and data solution reviews, ensuring adherence to defined standards; * Participate in impact analysis, solution design, and architectural decision-making for new projects and platform enhancements; * Provide operational support and troubleshooting for critical data platform pipelines and components in production environments; * Collaborate on defining and implementing Data Quality practices (rules, monitoring, alerts) and data observability; * Support organizing the platform’s technical backlog and planning deliveries jointly with the team; * Identify technical risks and propose structural improvements to the data architecture, aiming for reliability, cost-efficiency, and performance. **Requirements and Qualifications** What’s needed for our perfect match: * Completed undergraduate degree in IT or related field; * Proven experience with Databricks; * Proven experience as a Data Architect or in similar roles; * Specific experience with Delta Live Tables (DLT) for orchestration, data processing, and data quality; * Experience modernizing data warehouses or legacy systems to a Lakehouse architecture; * Experience defining and evolving cloud-based data architectures; * Knowledge of data integration using JDBC/ODBC connectors, Spark Structured Streaming, and REST APIs; * Experience with Delta Lake table partitioning strategies, Z\-Order, optimization, and tuning; * Knowledge of Data Quality and Data Observability practices (monitors, alerts, data SLOs); * Knowledge of data governance and metadata management (Unity Catalog or similar catalogs); * Experience applying Agile methodologies to data teams; * Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for data projects (notebook deployment, job deployment, infrastructure-as-code, etc.); * Advanced knowledge of data modeling, database design, and database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop); * Experience with ETL (extraction, transformation, loading) tools and data integration; * Knowledge of Cloud Computing and related services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); * Skills in data governance and security practices; * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; * Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. **Desirable / Differentiating Factors:** * Certifications in data architecture or related fields; * Experience with Big Data and related tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Jupyter Notebooks, Airflow, DataFactory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Apache ecosystem tools); * Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI; * Knowledge of Oracle databases and Oracle Cloud. **Additional Information** Fully Remote – Work safely and comfortably from home Infrastructure Allowance; Flexible working hours; Birthday Day Off – with a surprise!
