Job Summary: An Analytics Engineer serves as the bridge between data engineering and business, designing and optimizing the data layer for fast and reliable insights, ensuring consistent and high-quality data. Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams The Analytics Engineer is the essential bridge between data engineering and the business area. This role is responsible for designing, building, testing, and optimizing the data layer that enables analysts, data scientists, and business teams to extract insights quickly and reliably. This professional ensures that data is consistent, high-quality, and efficiently modeled in the Data Warehouse. Thus, the Analytics Engineer is responsible for solving business problems by developing a robust data platform, applying appropriate data transformation practices to create data pipelines and data products that generate business value. Key responsibilities include: * Building and structuring scalable data models using Modern Data Stack tools; * Transforming data and building metrics that deliver business value; * Implementing data tests and creating documentation for pipelines and the DW; * Running ad\-hoc queries on databases and data warehouses using SQL; * Applying statistical techniques and EDA to map and derive insights from datasets; * Conducting and evaluating A/B test results jointly with business teams; * Proposing, developing, and enhancing analytical reports and BI dashboards; * Designing, implementing, documenting, and monitoring new business metrics; * Tracking goals and reporting their progress to the business area; * Answering business questions using data visualization and basic statistics; * Maintaining stable, functional, and up-to-date production environments and models; * Supporting training and implementation of data processes across business areas; * Collaborating with technical and non\-technical teams across the company, reducing the gap between business problems and technical solutions; * Working on data platform migration, implementation, and data product development projects. Basic Requirements: * Experience manipulating data using SQL; * Basic experience with analytical tools and BI tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.); * Intermediate knowledge of presentation and documentation tools (PowerPoint/Google Slides, Word/Google Docs); * Basic knowledge of R/Python or equivalent; * Basic knowledge of SQL and databases; * Introductory knowledge of dbt (e.g., how to configure and run a dbt project, plus application of general best practices for organization and development); * Introductory knowledge of dimensional modeling (Kimball, Inmon, and OBT); * Introductory knowledge of DataOps best practices (CI/CD, version control, Git); * Introductory knowledge of data platforms (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse) and a general understanding of cloud concepts and their main tools; * Technical education or professional experience with a quantitative/analytical focus; * Strong interest in problem-solving through statistics and data visualization; * Analytical ability, communication skills, and project management capability; * Knowledge of business metrics and how they are developed; * Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills; * Analytical and critical thinking; * Intermediate English proficiency. Preferred Qualifications: * dbt Certified Developer certification; * Databricks certification or equivalent; * Public cloud platform certification (AWS, Azure, GCP) at Foundational level or equivalent; * Experience performing business-oriented data analysis; * Experience in consulting projects; * Advanced English proficiency; * Basic knowledge of Figma or similar prototyping tools.
