Are you ready to join us? **Responsibilities and Duties** **What We’re Looking For?** A proactive professional who helps the team identify technical improvement opportunities. **Your Day-to-Day Will Include:** * Designing and architecting scalable, highly available database solutions for complex systems; * Being responsible for performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning for large data volumes; * Leading database reliability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies; * Diagnosing and resolving complex production incidents and performance bottlenecks; * Implementing database security practices, access control, encryption, and compliance; * Collaborating with application, platform, and DevOps teams on system design and releases; * Leading database migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives; * Automating database operations using scripts and infrastructure-as-code practices; * Reviewing database designs and providing technical guidance to engineers; * Maintaining operational documentation, standards, and best practices; **Requirements and Qualifications** **Job Summary** The **Senior Database Engineer** leads the design, optimization, and reliability of enterprise-grade database platforms supporting mission-critical systems. This role provides deep technical expertise, promotes best practices, and mentors team members, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of data services in both on\-premise and cloud environments. **Required Skills:** * Proven experience managing production databases; * Strong expertise in **PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases;** * **Advanced SQL** and deep understanding of query execution and optimization; * Experience with replication, clustering, and high-availability architectures; * Hands-on experience with cloud database platforms (**Azure, AWS, or GCP**); * Strong knowledge of **Linux/Unix** system administration; * Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell); * Experience with monitoring tools, alerting, and performance analysis; * Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation; * Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving skills, and ability to mentor other professionals; * **Advanced or Fluent English**. **Additional Information:** * CLT position * Flexible working hours (06:00–15:00\) * Remote position **(but residing in Curitiba/PR or willingness to relocate is mandatory).**  **NOTE:** Hey!
