We operate in the development of digital solutions (web, mobile, BI, RPA, among others), with offices in São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, and the USA. **Overview of the opportunity:** * We are looking for a **Senior Data Engineer**, to work on data collection, processing, transformation, and availability, including the creation of strategic reports and dashboards in Power BI for end users. **Responsibilities and duties:** * Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using Python in an AWS Serverless environment (Lambda). * Integrate data from different sources, including reading and processing Excel spreadsheets, ensuring consistency, integrity, and quality. * Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes for a Data Lake (AWS S3), with emphasis on writing and manipulating files in Parquet format. * Use DuckDB in Python routines to execute SQL commands directly on Parquet files stored in S3. * Create, update, and maintain strategic reports and dashboards in Power BI, ensuring direct connection to the AWS S3 Data Lake. * Develop and maintain Power BI Embedded integrations into web applications, managing access via AD/Entra ID. * Implement Power BI Paginated Reports functionality, orchestrating Power BI API calls for result generation and download. * Document processes, flows, and architecture, ensuring knowledge sharing within the team. * Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements and turn needs into efficient solutions. **Skills you must have:** * Proven experience as a Data Engineer. * Proficiency in Python (including libraries such as boto3, pandas, fastparquet, and requests). * Strong command of SQL and familiarity with executing queries in Data Lakes using tools like DuckDB. * Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including Power BI Embedded, Paginated Reports, integration with AD/Entra ID, and the Fabric platform. * Solid experience with AWS, especially S3, AWS Lambda (Serverless environment), and Containers (for complementary services). * Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL). * Experience in data modeling and Data Warehouse architecture. * Familiarity with version control tools (Git/GitHub), automation, pipeline orchestration, and monitoring. * **Intermediate English for conversation:** **What you will find at GX2:** * Hub of original content segmented by knowledge tracks (AI, QA, Agility, UX/UI Design, Product, Software Development); * Monthly talks focused on soft skills development; * Culture of care for people and mental health; * Mental health and well-being platform; * GX2 Follow Up: Monthly individual follow-up focused on well-being and development. **Message from GX2:** This is an inclusive position open to all interested individuals.
