Description

We are looking for a video editor to join the team of a YouTube channel that regularly produces long-form videos (30–40 minutes in length). Compensation: R$ 6\.500,00 per month This is a full-time remote position, with an average workload of 1 video per week. The professional will receive raw footage from recordings, as well as pre-produced opening and closing graphics and other visual assets, and will be responsible for editing and finalizing the video until it is ready for publication. Responsibilities: * Review and organize raw footage; * Perform video cutting and assembly; * Build editing rhythm, narrative flow, and continuity; * Research and insert archival footage when necessary; * Apply provided graphics packages (GCs) and visual elements; * Identify and communicate to the motion designer the exact moments in the video where animations, graphic elements, or other motion graphics resources should appear; * Select and apply background music where appropriate; * Perform basic audio treatment; * Conduct color correction; * Generate, review, correct, and burn subtitles into the final video; * Finalize and export the video in the channel’s required format; * Upload the completed video for publication. We seek someone experienced in producing long-form YouTube videos, with strong narrative judgment, attention to pacing, clarity, and polish. It is essential to work autonomously throughout the entire editing process—from start to finish—while adhering to the channel’s stylistic language and maintaining consistency across deliverables. Requirements: * Proven experience editing long-form videos; * Portfolio showcasing previous work; * Proficiency in professional video editing software; * Personal equipment; * Availability compatible with a weekly production schedule; * Organizational skills, adherence to deadlines, and effective communication. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working with YouTube channels; * Familiarity with interview, debate, opinion, or journalistic/documentary-style videos; * Experience researching archival footage; * Attention to subtitles, finishing quality, and accessibility; * Understanding of narrative pacing for viewer retention in long-form videos.
