We are seeking professionals located in Brazil to work as **Data Developers** for one of our financial services clients. You will contribute to data platform modernization initiatives, with a focus on Lakehouse architecture, data governance, data quality, and data preparation for analytical and AI consumption. **Responsibilities:** * Contribute to data platform modernization initiatives, focusing on Lakehouse architecture, governance, quality, and data preparation for analytical and AI consumption. **Requirements for this role:** * Proficiency across the data lifecycle: ingestion, processing, storage, transformation, consumption, and governance; * Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data; * Strong practices in data handling, versioning, traceability, and data availability; * Experience with Lakehouse architecture (Data Lake \+ Data Warehouse); * Use of Apache Iceberg for: managing analytical tables, version control, schema evolution, efficient partitioning, and performance optimization in distributed environments; * Experience with at least one of the following: Athena, Trino, Presto, or Spark SQL; * Ability to optimize queries, interpret execution plans, work with partitioning and columnar formats (Parquet, ORC); * Cost versus performance awareness in analytical queries; * Solid experience in analytical and BI modeling: fact and dimension tables, granularity, keys, hierarchies, metrics, and KPIs; * Ability to structure optimized models for dashboards, reports, and business team consumption; * Hands-on experience with: S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, Lake Formation, IAM, and CloudWatch; * Knowledge of cloud security best practices, access control, monitoring, automation, and cost management. **Preferred qualifications:** * Understanding of principles such as: data as a product, domain ownership, federated governance, and self-service infrastructure; * Experience defining data contracts, data catalogs, quality standards, and business-domain-based organization; * Experience implementing quality controls in data pipelines: validations, business rules, completeness, consistency, uniqueness, integrity, and accuracy; * Ability to perform continuous monitoring, anomaly detection, and alert generation; * Knowledge of data preparation and organization for Machine Learning and advanced Analytics initiatives; * Familiarity with feature stores, integration of data pipelines with AI models, and cloud AI services; * Understanding of the importance of clean, governed, and traceable data to fuel AI models. \#LI\-CB4 **Our benefits:** * Health and dental insurance; * Meal and food allowance; * Childcare assistance; * Extended parental leave; * Partnerships with gyms and health and wellness professionals via Wellhub (Gympass) and TotalPass; * Profit Sharing Program (PLR); * Life insurance; * Continuous learning platform (CI\&T University); * Discount club; * Free online platform dedicated to physical, mental, and overall well-being; * Pregnancy and responsible parenting course; * Partnerships with online learning platforms; * Language learning platform; * And many more More details about our benefits here: https://ciandt.com/br/pt\-br/carreiras At CI\&T, inclusion begins at first contact.
