Logistics Coordinator

Description

I am supporting a company engaged in food distribution in its selection process for a LOGISTICS COORDINATOR * Plan, coordinate, and supervise all logistics operations, from receipt to final product delivery. * Ensure on-time delivery and food integrity throughout the entire storage and transportation process. * Manage inventory and ensure accuracy by applying practices such as FIFO and FEFO to maintain product shelf life. * Supervise route planning, dispatch, and transportation, optimizing resources and reducing operational costs. * Coordinate and develop the operational team (warehouse staff, drivers, assistants, and inspectors), promoting engagement and efficiency. * Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and good practices for food handling and transportation. * Conduct periodic inventories, track discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. * Prepare management reports and provide strategic information to senior management regarding performance and operational needs. * Propose and implement continuous improvements in logistics processes, focusing on productivity, quality, and waste reduction. Requirements * Experience in coordinating logistics operations, inventory, transportation, and food distribution. * Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems, shelf-life control (FIFO/FEFO), and performance indicators (KPIs). * Experience with good storage practices, sanitary legislation, and fleet management. * Intermediate/advanced Excel skills and basic Power BI knowledge (desirable). * Leadership, organization, agility, results orientation, and strong communication skills.
