It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities. **Job Description** =================== **Responsibilities:** * Supervise, train, and guide a team of maintenance technicians, promoting a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork. * Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility systems. * Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and guide technicians in effective troubleshooting and repairs. * Manage maintenance schedules, prioritize work orders, and allocate resources efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability. * Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to identify and implement solutions for recurring equipment issues and process improvements. * Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards (e.g., GMP, ISO). * Manage spare parts inventory, procure necessary tools and equipment, and control the maintenance department budget. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance metrics. * Participate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment and technologies. * Respond to emergency failures and provide hands-on support when required. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) required; technical training or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred. * Proven experience in industrial maintenance, with prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. * Solid knowledge of industrial electrical systems (PLCs, motor controls, sensors), mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment), and automation. * Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a technical team. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to maintenance. * Proficiency in SAP/CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). * Strong understanding of industrial safety regulations and best practices. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals. * Advanced English proficiency. * Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends or nights, as required to meet production needs. *“BD values equity in the workplace and does not discriminate on the basis of any disability, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, age, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation.”* **Why Join Us?** ================ To find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
