Work with vulnerable populations and improve health conditions **Description and Responsibilities:** **Working Hours:** 9 AM TO 6 PM **Level:** Professional **Employment Type:** Permanent – CLT ***WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE A PHYSICIAN IN MSF'S PROJECT?*** As a physician in MSF's project, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to people deprived of liberty. Your practice must adhere to MSF’s and the Ministry of Health’s medical protocols, ensuring safe, ethical, and humane care. You will be part of a multidisciplinary medical team, directly contributing to clinical decision-making, care coordination, and improving the health conditions of a highly vulnerable population. ***WHAT CHALLENGES WILL YOU FACE?*** You will operate in a context marked by clinical complexity and high social vulnerability. Maintaining diagnostic accuracy, promoting treatment adherence, and responsibly and ethically managing comorbidities and adverse effects will be essential. Additionally, you will need to integrate clinical, laboratory, and operational information to support decisions impacting individual and collective care within prison facilities. ***WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORKDAY LOOK LIKE?*** * Conduct medical consultations, clinical assessments, and diagnoses for patients with tuberculosis and associated comorbidities. * Prescribe treatments according to national protocols and MSF guidelines, ensuring appropriate adherence and follow-up. * Monitor adverse effects of anti-tuberculosis medications, documenting and reporting occurrences. * Follow up with patients undergoing prolonged treatment, integrating clinical and laboratory data to guide therapeutic decisions. * Collaborate with nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, mental health, and health promotion teams. * Participate in clinical discussions, case reviews, and continuing education activities. * Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, good medical practices, confidentiality, and information security. * Contribute to infection control and implementation of biosafety measures in prison facilities. * Engage in health education activities, offering clear and humane clinical guidance to patients and their families. * Complete medical records, forms, and reports, ensuring data traceability and quality. * Collaborate on epidemiological data collection and analysis to support project monitoring. * Participate in preparing monthly medical reports and relevant health indicators. **Requirements:** ***WHAT DO YOU NEED?*** Essential: * Medical degree. * Clinical experience, preferably in infectious diseases, public health, or tuberculosis. * Knowledge of national tuberculosis management protocols and infection control standards. * Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and under supervision. * Capacity to work in complex contexts, with emotional stability, ethics, and empathy. Desirable: * Training in Tropical Medicine. * Prior experience with MSF or in humanitarian settings. * Familiarity with Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS) and surveillance systems such as SINAN and e\-SUS. * Knowledge of managing coinfections (HIV, viral hepatitis) and other comorbidities associated with TB. **Benefits:** Medical assistance, Dental assistance, Life insurance, Meal voucher, Transportation voucher
