**Responsibilities and Duties** **Key Activities:**
* Conduct nutritional assessments of patients through evaluation of clinical and medical signs, anthropometric measurements (weight, height, BMI, and others), and monitoring of laboratory test results;
* Prescribe dietary plans based on nutritional diagnosis guidelines, considering drug/nutrient and nutrient/nutrient interactions;
* Provide nutritional care to patients;
* Provide nutritional guidance to patients from admission into nutritional care until discharge (establishing a nutritional care plan);
* Prescribe enteral diets upon medical indication;
* Perform daily inventory control (enteral formulas, infant formulas, dietary modules, and supplements) to support patient-specific dietary prescriptions;
* Complete and interpret nutritional indicators;
* Complete relevant departmental documents and forms as needed;
* Plan dietotherapy strategies according to dietary anamnesis;
* Participate in meetings with multidisciplinary teams, especially the EMTN (Multidisciplinary Team for Nutritional Therapy);
* Guide and supervise the distribution of oral and enteral diets, verifying acceptance rate, infusion rate, and dietary tolerance;
* Collaborate with nutritionists responsible for meal production, jointly defining food service procedures;
* Record all follow-ups, guidance, and interventions in the electronic medical record;
* Develop or revise departmental documents;
* Participate in educational activities;
* Perform other related tasks.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
**Requirements:**
* Completed undergraduate degree in Nutrition. Postgraduate specialization in Clinical Nutrition;
* Active registration with the Regional Council of Nutritionists (CRN);
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
* Minimum six months of experience in hospital-based clinical nutrition.
* Completed undergraduate degree in Nutrition. Completed or ongoing postgraduate specialization in Clinical Nutrition or related fields.
**Desirable:**
* Postgraduate specialization in Nutritional Therapy or related fields;
* Participation in or certification for EMTN (Multidisciplinary Teams for Nutritional Therapy);
* Training courses in enteral/parenteral diet prescription and hospital-based nutritional assessment;
* Experience with electronic medical records and hospital management systems;
* Knowledge of patient safety protocols and quality-of-care standards.
**Specific Knowledge:**
* Nutritional assessment and dietary prescription across various pathologies.
* Oral, enteral, and parenteral nutritional therapy.
* Protocols for hospital malnutrition, sarcopenia, and nutritional risk assessment.
* Current guidelines and legislation governing Clinical Nutrition;
* Nutritional risk classification systems;
* ANVISA, CRN, and good practices standards for hospital environments;
* Patient Safety Goals;
* Patient safety and humanized care.
