Then this opportunity is for you! **Responsibilities and Duties** **What Are the Challenges in the Receivables/Collections Card Squad:** * Actively participate in design and architecture discussions for new features and integrations with partners (acquirers, gateways, CERC, banks); * Implement and maintain backend code (and frontend, depending on the challenge) with a focus on security, performance, maintainability, and best practices; * Conduct code reviews and propose improvements to existing codebases; * Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, mocks/contracts) to ensure functionality reliability; * Work with asynchronous processing, messaging/queues, reprocessing, and fault tolerance; * Work with RESTful APIs as well as external integrations, data transformations, formats, and protocols; * Diagnose and resolve bugs, incidents, and performance bottlenecks; * Collaborate with the team (PO, Tech Lead, DevOps) to refine tickets, provide estimates, and plan deliveries; * Contribute to process improvements, coding standards, automations, and engineering culture; * Assist in system monitoring, alerts, and observability (logs, metrics, tracing); * Document architectural decisions, critical flows, and APIs/contracts when necessary. **Requirements and Qualifications** **What You Need to Know:** * Experience as a Ruby on Rails developer; * Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar), advanced SQL, transactions, indexes, and query tuning; * Experience with distributed architectures / microservices / segregated services; * Experience with queues / messaging / asynchronous processing (e.g., Redis, Sidekiq, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.); * Knowledge and hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, versioning, error handling, contracts, and authentication (token, OAuth, etc.); * Experience with Docker and containers, isolated development environments; * Test-driven culture (unit, integration, mocks); * Ability to debug production issues, analyze logs, and monitor performance; * Technical English for reading documentation, libraries, and external APIs. **What Could Boost Your Application:** * Specific experience in collections, credit, receivables, or fintechs; * Knowledge of receivables registration processes (e.g., CERC or similar); * Experience with caching / Redis / Memcache / TTL and caching strategies; * Practical experience with event sourcing, CQRS, or event-driven architectures; * Experience with cloud / infrastructure / CI\-CD / DevOps (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes); * Experience with monitoring, metrics, tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, ELK, etc.); * Knowledge of API security, encryption, compliance (LGPD, PCI\-DSS); * Experience with database versioning and complex migrations; * Participation in architectural decisions and definition of technical standards. **Additional Information** **What You’ll Find at iugu** **Hybrid Work Model:** Our work model is hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, plus flexible working hours, respecting each team’s specific needs. **Flexible Benefits:** Swile card credit of R$ 1\.689,59 distributed as follows: **Meal and Food Allowance:** R$ 772,99\. **Mobility Allowance:** R$ 408,60 for commuting, usable across all services in this category (Uber, 99, public transport card recharge, parking, etc.).
