Job Summary: The professional will greet and assist patients and companions, optimize waiting times, and provide courteous and humanized reception, ensuring efficient and satisfactory service. Assist medical and nursing staff in patient care Greet and assist patients and companions during their visit to the Unit; optimize and track patients’ waiting times at the outpatient clinic; welcome patients and companions courteously and respectfully, aiming for humanized care; monitor patients’ waiting times for medical, nursing, laboratory, and radiology procedures with the objective of expediting services and improving user satisfaction. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Greet patients and companions in a welcoming and efficient manner, addressing their needs; * Direct registration forms and accompany patients to interconsultations at the Outpatient Clinic for ophthalmology and otolaryngology, particularly in urgent and emergency evaluations; * Inform the immediate supervisor of any unsatisfactory information encountered during the shift; * Verify medical on-call schedules and record date, time, and names of on-call physicians by specialty on the board; * Organize medical consultation rooms and replenish printed materials used for patient care; * Assist medical staff by informing them about patient follow-ups and the location of patients awaiting care; * Direct patients without companions to the Nursing Team to activate Social Services when intervention is required; * Locate lost registration forms during patient care, except those under nursing care; * Take appropriate action regarding complaints from patients and companions during service delivery; * Collaborate with nursing and front desk staff to support elderly individuals, pregnant women, mothers with infants, and patients with special needs; * Collect registration forms completed by physicians and enter them into a spreadsheet for monitoring purposes; * Forward completed registration forms and examination requests to respective departments for prescribed procedures; * Receive and attach examination and procedure results to registration forms for forwarding to physician follow-up appointments; * Monitor established examination timelines (from referral to receipt), according to risk assessment and classification; * Collect discharge forms, mark them as completed in the spreadsheet, and forward them to Reception; * Perform other duties as needed or at the discretion of the supervisor; * Maintain a clean and organized work area; * Attend meetings, studies, and institutional projects whenever requested. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Computer literacy — user level; * Prior experience in public-facing roles is desirable. **Additional Information** **SPDM** — Associação Paulista para o Desenvolvimento da Medicina (São Paulo Association for the Development of Medicine) is a non-profit, philanthropic civil association, federally, state-, and municipally recognized as being of public utility, pursuant to Decrees No. 57,925 dated 03/04/1966, No. 40,103 dated 05/17/1962, and No. 8,911 dated 07/30/1970, respectively. It spans three Administrative Districts: Vila Maria, Vila Guilherme, and Vila Medeiros, and operates under the North Regional Health Coordination of the Municipal Health Secretariat of São Paulo. Since February 1, 2008, it has been managed by OSS-SPDM, Associação Paulista para o Desenvolvimento da Medicina, under a Management Agreement signed with the Municipal Health Secretariat of São Paulo (SMS-NTCSS).
