Opportunity at a growing company in the packaging industry. **Job Description:** A Cashier is an important member of the customer service team at a packaging distributor, responsible for processing financial transactions, serving customers, and maintaining accurate sales records. This professional plays a crucial role in customer experience and store financial management. **Main Responsibilities:** Customer Service: Greet customers courteously, assist them during transactions, and answer questions about products and prices. Cashier Operations: Scan items, calculate purchase totals, accept cash, credit or debit card payments, and issue change. Document Verification: Verify authenticity of banknotes, checks, and cards to ensure secure acceptance. Returns and Exchanges Processing: Assist customers with product returns and exchanges, following company procedures. Fiscal Receipt Issuance: Issue and deliver official fiscal receipts for purchases. Cash Drawer Replenishment: Keep the cash drawer stocked with change and fiscal documents. Cash Drawer Closing: Perform end-of-shift cash reconciliation, ensuring total amounts match recorded transactions. Security and Compliance: Adhere to all security policies and procedures, including fraud prevention measures.
