




Job Summary: The Laboratory Assistant supports laboratory activities, prepares materials, and assists in organization and cleaning, contributing to smooth operations under supervision. Participate in training and capacity-building programs to enhance technical knowledge The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for supporting laboratory activities in accordance with technical procedures and standards. This includes preparing materials, equipment, and solutions, as well as assisting with laboratory organization and cleaning. This professional works under supervision to ensure the laboratory operates efficiently. * Assist in the development and monitoring of technological control tests for soil, concrete, and asphalt, performing analysis and quality control of construction materials both in the laboratory and on-site (in loco). * Assist in conducting deflection tests using the Benkelman beam to determine allowable deflection. Assist in conducting tests using the Marshall press. * Perform laboratory cleaning and organization in compliance with biosafety standards. * Support calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. * Record and document all procedures performed, ensuring traceability of analyses. * Collaborate with the technical team in conducting tests and experiments. * Follow established technical standards and procedures to ensure result quality. * Maintain the integrity of laboratory materials and equipment. * Participate in training and capacity-building programs to enhance technical knowledge. * Contribute to maintaining a safe and organized workplace. * Report any irregularities or issues identified in the laboratory to the technical supervisor.
