Laboratory Assistants must support the laboratory in activities involving cleaning, disposal of solid and liquid waste, storage and disposal of samples, handling of solvents, sample fractionation (for tests such as coulometric KF, grease, among others), supporting technicians in analyses according to technical standards, organizing the laboratory, and supporting technicians in re-analyses of tests when requested by interpretation. Clean laboratory glassware Monitor waste container volume and request collection Forward samples for collection/disposal after the storage period in the warehouse Clean laboratory glassware; dispose of samples after the storage period in the warehouse; support technicians in preparing various analyses; assist technicians in retrieving samples for re-analysis from the storage location; organize and store samples and trays after process completion (within the laboratory and/or sample warehouse); perform grease sample fractionation; perform sample fractionation for ICP, IR, TBN/TAN, coulometric KF, and viscosity testing; record tray data and information (sample number and sequence) in daily process spreadsheets; organize racks with test tubes (positioning and labeling) according to daily process spreadsheets; perform visual and PQi testing upon process initiation; perform hot plate testing (crackle test). Report, analyze, evaluate, and authorize results Identify deviations from the management system or procedures and implement actions to prevent or minimize them; Report to general management on the performance of the management system and any need for improvement; Ensure the effectiveness of departmental activities
