Job Summary: Serves customers at the counter, performing meat cutting, grinding, and slicing, while also assisting the butcher with deboning and maintaining hygiene. Key Highlights: 1. Direct customer service with customized meat preparation 2. Operational support in deboning and cutting, developing butcher skills 3. Maintaining hygiene and organization of the department RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the supervisor, handles customer requests at the counter by grinding, slicing, cutting meat portions, as well as weighing, pricing, and packaging orders; additionally assists the butcher with low-complexity operational procedures such as deboning raw cuts and meat cutting. DAILY TASKS 1. Daily handling of customer orders at the butcher counter: retrieves products from refrigerated chambers and places them on tables, platforms, and supports to expedite service; receives orders; cuts, grinds, or slices products to minimize waste and maintain quality standards for customer satisfaction; weighs items, prints priced labels, and packages orders; 2. Assists the butcher in verifying raw meat pieces received from slaughterhouses and storing them in refrigerated chambers; under strict supervision, may perform low-complexity deboning procedures or supporting tasks such as sharpening cleavers, washing trays, etc.; 3. Maintains order and cleanliness of the work area (counter and refrigerated chambers) and tools by removing trash and residues, sanitizing floors, surfaces, and utensils; observes safety and personal hygiene protocols during operations and properly uses PPE; 4. Provides guidance to customers when necessary; 5. Performs other job-related tasks as directed by the supervisor.
