Description
**We are looking for someone to perform the following activities:**
a) Design and evolve network architecture, defining LAN, WAN, and MAN topologies, as well as the most appropriate protocols and technologies for each scenario.
b) Configure, test, and optimize communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.), ensuring interoperability and high performance.
c) Install, operate, and maintain network devices — routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and related equipment — guaranteeing availability and scalability.
d) Implement and oversee security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, authentication, data encryption, and corporate security policies.
e) Plan and administer virtualized and cloud environments, covering platforms such as VMware, Hyper\-V, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, aligning network, security, and cost requirements.
f) Manage network configurations on Windows Server, Linux, and Unix operating systems, defining services, permissions, and performance tuning.
g) Continuously monitor network health using tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, and Zabbix, collecting metrics, generating alerts, and producing performance reports.
h) Diagnose and resolve complex incidents, identifying root causes of connectivity failures or service degradation and implementing corrective actions.
i) Lead infrastructure network deployment and upgrade projects, developing schedules, budgets, resource allocation plans, and delivery tracking.
j) Communicate clearly and collaboratively with IT teams and end users, documenting processes, transferring knowledge, and actively participating in cross-functional initiatives.
**What skills are required:**
a) Be of legal age;
b) Hold a diploma or certificate, duly registered, confirming completion of an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC).
c) Possess CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification;
d) Minimum of 3 (three) years of proven professional experience encompassing the following tools and knowledge areas:
d.1\) Network Architecture: (LAN, WAN, MAN) and its architecture, including topology, protocols, and associated technologies
d.2\) Network Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, among others.
