Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced data engineer proficient in distributed environments to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring data governance and quality. We believe intelligent use of technology is the key to success—and this is one way we leave our mark. **What We Seek** A data engineering professional with experience in distributed environments, capable of designing and maintaining scalable pipelines, ensuring data governance and quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support technical decisions related to data architecture and tools. **Responsibilities:** Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient data pipelines Work with large volumes of structured and unstructured data Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and data scientists Participate in technical decisions regarding data architecture and tools **Requirements:** Experience in data engineering within distributed environments Proficiency in Apache Spark/PySpark Experience with AWS (Glue, S3, EMR, Athena, Redshift, etc.) Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases Experience in batch and streaming data processing Experience with Apache Kafka or Amazon MSK Experience with Scala **Nice-to-Have:** Knowledge of legacy system modernization Experience with Delta Lake, Apache Hudi, or Iceberg Familiarity with CI/CD for data (dbt, Airflow, Terraform) **Behavioral Profile:** We are looking for someone who: * Enjoys teamwork and is collaborative in their responsibilities; * Has the courage to challenge themselves and go beyond, embracing new growth opportunities; * Transforms ideas into creative solutions and pursues excellence in all daily activities; * Possesses strong problem-solving skills; * Is self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and capable of managing their own time; * Is interested in tackling challenging and innovative technological situations.
