We are looking for a talented **Field Mechanical Technician I \- Macaé** to join our team.
**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**
* **Customer Service and Relationship Management:** Commit to customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring effective and immediate attention to their needs on-site.
* **Maintenance and Diagnostics:** Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on engines and related components at customer sites, using specialized tools and following documented procedures with minimal supervision.
* **Technical Escalation:** Escalate unresolved failures or issues to more experienced Senior Field Technicians and/or Field Service Supervisors.
* **Documentation and Processes:** Complete service worksheets, time cards, and warranty requests via manual forms or entries into the business system.
* **Asset and Organization Management:** Maintain service vehicles and tools clean, organized, and in optimal working condition.
* **HSE and Development:** Ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations, and complete the scheduled technical and business training program for this role.
**To succeed in this position, you will need:**
**Education and Qualifications:**
* Completed technical education in Mechanics, Electromechanics, Automotive, or related fields.
* Valid Brazilian National Driver’s License (CNH).
* Prior apprenticeship training as a Motor Technician will be considered a plus.
**Experience and Knowledge:**
* Minimum prior professional experience working in a mechanical workshop.
* Basic knowledge and/or practical experience with engine mechanical products.
* Ability to follow documented procedures and perform basic field diagnostics and repairs.

Electrical Installation Knowledge \- Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards when working with low and/or high voltage, adhering to all workplace safety procedures—including use of Personal Protective Equipment—to create a safe work environment; applies basic electrical theory and electronic component knowledge following procedures and using appropriate tools to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.
Electronic Service Tool Application \- Identifies the set of hardware and software tools required for a service event; uses the appropriate electronic toolset to maintain the product or diagnose and resolve an issue; interprets electronic tool results or recommendations to determine next steps for service resolution.
Mechanical Installation Knowledge \- Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards, complying with all workplace safety procedures—including use of Personal Protective Equipment—to create a safe work environment; applies mechanical theories and principles following procedures and using appropriate tools to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.
Product Maintenance and Repair \- Considers and performs maintenance on electrical/mechanical products following instructions, using necessary tools according to standard repair times to ensure quality repair; assembles and disassembles engines or power generation equipment following instructions, using required tools to ensure a clean and organized environment; verifies and replaces parts and components following reuse instructions to minimize customer ownership costs; performs progressive damage inspection following guidelines to restore pre-failure condition.
Service Documentation \- Creates and verifies customer, equipment, and technical information; captures specific data using required service tools; follows required procedures and documentation in the service management system to ensure accurate recording of work performed.
Technical Escalation \- Gathers information on product technical issues and uses available resources—including data management tools; escalates issues to higher levels of expertise, balancing customer response opportunity with investigation effort; captures all troubleshooting steps in the appropriate database to ensure seamless transitions and timely, accurate ticket resolution.
