Job Summary: An accounting professional responsible for recording, analyzing, classifying, posting, and reconciling accounts; preparing financial statements; managing fixed assets; and issuing accounting and management reports—ensuring accurate accounting treatment. Key Highlights: 1. Perform accounting reconciliation and asset control for the Institution. 2. Calculate taxes and issue management reports. 3. Bachelor's degree in Accounting Sciences; postgraduate studies preferred. Carry out activities related to recording, analyzing, classifying, posting, and reconciling accounts; prepare balance sheets and trial balances; manage postings related to acquisition and disposal of fixed assets; and issue accounting and management reports—complying with applicable laws and procedures to ensure accurate accounting treatment. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Reconcile the Institution’s accounting entries related to: bank charges, transactions and redemptions, payroll, expense reports, billing, purchases, etc., by comparing the source document generating the entry with its corresponding classification, verifying alignment with the chart of accounts, and making necessary adjustments to ensure accurate accounting treatment; * Control the Institution’s assets using an automated system, verifying whether asset registration was correctly recorded; * Close the accounting period by calculating results through analysis and adjustment of all accounts in the ledger; * Calculate taxes—including PIS, COFINS, IRRF, and CSLL—using calculation spreadsheets to determine monthly tax liabilities; * Issue management reports—including income statements, balance sheets, financial ratios, general ledger, fixed asset items, and others—and submit them for review/signature by the supervisor; file and maintain these reports for audit purposes; * Analyze balance sheet accounts by evaluating recorded revenues and expenses, identifying irregularities and variances in accounting entries, implementing necessary corrections and/or justifying account discrepancies to validate the period’s financial results; * Perform other duties as required or at the supervisor’s discretion. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting Sciences; * Postgraduate studies in the field preferred (completed or in progress); * Specialized courses in: Accounting, Tax, and Fiscal Legislation; * Proficiency in computer applications (user level); * Prior experience in the role preferred.
