Job Summary: Assist in food and pastry pre-preparation and preparation, buffet setup, and maintenance of item hygiene and quality, following food safety standards. Key Highlights: 1. Assistance in buffet setup and restocking MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist in food pre\-preparation and preparation according to order slips, including washing, sanitizing, and cutting food items and placing\-them into appropriate containers to prepare them for cooking menu dishes. • Assist in pastry activities, such as preparing desserts, cakes, and others, as needed. • Ensure the quality of food items in the area by checking expiration dates and storage conditions. • Assist in setting up and restocking the restaurant buffet, coffee breaks, and employee meals, ensuring they remain continuously stocked while maintaining their visual presentation. • Assist the immediate supervisor in maintaining departmental controls. • Conduct briefings jointly with the kitchen and restaurant teams. • Maintain personal and food hygiene, as well as clean kitchen equipment and utensils, keeping the kitchen organized and clean in accordance with required food safety standards. • Follow management guidelines regarding selective waste collection and water and energy consumption to meet environmental objectives. • Perform other related duties as required by the department/hotel.
