Come be part of this community! **Your main responsibilities will include**: * Supervising activities during the portal opening phase, including excavation, rock mass stabilization, and installation of primary support systems—such as rock bolts, steel mesh, shotcrete, and weather protection—ensuring compliance with execution designs, safety regulations, and best practices in geotechnical engineering. * Supervising underground infrastructure activities (ventilation, drilling, drainage, and access), ensuring correct ramp construction according to the execution design; * Monitoring tool and equipment performance, collecting technical data for analysis and optimization of excavation and development processes; * Performing critical analysis of operational and geotechnical data, identifying inconsistencies and proposing improvements; * Assessing and implementing measures to reduce the environmental impacts of construction, promoting sustainable practices in operations; * Managing the use of technologies and resources—including explosives, drill rigs, excavation equipment, and drones—to enhance efficiency and safety; * Ensuring application of safety best practices, with emphasis on signage, lighting, protection of critical areas, and safe circulation of personnel and heavy vehicles. * Verifying suitability and quality of materials used in ramp subgrade construction, ensuring strength, durability, and stability. * Supervising ramp geometry (gradient, width, and alignment), ensuring compliance with design and operational requirements for mining equipment. * Developing and reviewing operational procedures for critical activities in the underground mine. * Participating in multidisciplinary technical meetings to resolve interferences and align client engineering disciplines; * Collaborating with Geology, Planning, and Safety departments to ensure integration of development activities with other mine operational processes. * Conducting technical visits to suppliers and quality inspections, when required. **For this position, we expect you to have**: * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering; * Experience in underground mine development projects; * Technical knowledge in drilling, excavation, ventilation, geomechanics, and drainage. * Preferred experience with mining planning software and geotechnical modeling tools. * Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and environmental legislation applicable to mining. * Preferred knowledge or experience with ISO 14001: Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
