Job Summary: Join metallic components of vessels through welding processes, ensuring structural strength, safety, and integrity. Key Highlights: 1. Perform shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) on metallic and non-metallic structures 2. Prepare surfaces and parts to be welded for high-quality welds 3. Inspect completed welds to meet quality and safety standards Join metallic components of vessels through welding processes, ensuring structural strength, safety, and integrity of the parts. **Level I** Support manual tasks on the production line following production supervisor instructions; **Manually perform shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) on metallic and non-metallic structures across various vessel sections such as hulls, tanks, and piping, in accordance with project technical specifications;** Prepare surfaces and parts to be welded, including cleaning and correct positioning to ensure high-quality welds; (high standard); **Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with naval industry quality and safety standards;** Collaborate with direct management (vessel supervisors and coordinators) to follow welding plans and resolve potential technical issues; **Use welding and cutting equipment efficiently and safely, performing cutting when necessary, while maintaining\-equipment in good working condition;** **Level II** **Perform all Level I activities when required;** Perform MIG and MAG welding on metallic and non-metallic structures across various vessel sections such as hulls, tanks, and piping, in accordance with project technical specifications; **Level III** **Perform all Level II activities when required;** Perform SMAW, MIG, MAG, and TIG welding on metallic and non-metallic structures across various vessel sections such as hulls, tanks, and piping, in accordance with project technical specifications. **JOB COMPETENCIES:** Knowledge of MIG, MAG, TIG, and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) processes; Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols; Knowledge of safety standards applicable to welding in industrial or metallurgical settings; Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, as required for shipboard work; Ability to work in teams and follow instructions precisely.
