About the position: We are seeking a Data and Generative AI Engineer to build and evolve advanced data and artificial intelligence solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role will play a strategic part in implementing intelligent search and conversational experiences, developing modern data architectures, and ensuring governance and security for analytical and AI environments. The work will be highly collaborative, with a focus on scalability, performance, and innovation. Responsibilities: ✔ Configure, evolve, and optimize semantic search solutions using Discovery Engine (Agent Builder) and Dialogflow to create intelligent search and chat interfaces. ✔ Develop and maintain modern data architectures using BigQuery, Dataform, and Cloud Storage, ensuring data quality, traceability, and governance. ✔ Manage and implement access and security policies using IAM for Analytics and Artificial Intelligence environments. ✔ Orchestrate pipelines and integrations via Cloud Composer (Airflow), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions. ✔ Design and optimize data sources for consumption in Looker Studio, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. ✔ Implement cost and performance optimization strategies in BigQuery and Looker Studio using BI Engine, Extract Data, and caching mechanisms. ✔ Develop analytical data models and advanced dashboard features, including calculated fields, dynamic parameters, and data blending. ✔ Implement row-level security mechanisms and appropriate sharing strategies using owner and viewer credentials. ✔ Build interactive dashboards focused on user experience, intuitive navigation, and advanced analytical capabilities. Requirements: ✔ Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially in Data and Artificial Intelligence solutions. ✔ Advanced proficiency in BigQuery, including analytical SQL and query optimization. ✔ Practical experience with Dataform and version-controlled code for data pipelines. ✔ Knowledge of Vertex AI, Generative AI, vector search, and conversational AI applications. ✔ Experience with Cloud Storage (GCS), Cloud Composer (Airflow), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions. ✔ Knowledge of monitoring and observability using Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring. ✔ Experience managing identities and access using IAM. ✔ Advanced knowledge of data architecture and modeling for Looker Studio. ✔ Experience with native Looker Studio connectors, Views, Custom Queries, and performance optimization strategies. ✔ Ability to develop calculated fields, dynamic parameters, and data blending processes. ✔ Knowledge of implementing row-level security and credential management in analytical reports. ✔ Experience with Python for Data Engineering and Machine Learning, using libraries such as Pandas and Scikit-Learn. ✔ Knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript, especially for development and modeling in Dataform. ✔ Familiarity with YAML and JSON files for cloud resource configuration and management. Nice-to-have: ➕ Experience building large-scale intelligent agents and generative AI applications. ➕ Experience in modernizing analytical platforms and data-driven environments. ➕ Experience with serverless solution architecture on GCP. ➕ Knowledge of MLOps practices and machine learning model governance. ➕ Google Cloud certifications related to Data, Machine Learning, or Cloud Architecture.
