Challenges you’ll encounter here: * A dynamic, open environment welcoming new ideas; * Freedom to build a proactive, self-driven career; * Space for continuous development and learning. **What We’re Looking For and Key Responsibilities** As a data scientist, supported by the Data Science & Machine Learning Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for building data products to optimize decision-making across the company — including classification/regression models, heuristic optimization, and statistical analyses. **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct studies and analyses using large volumes of data to support strategic decisions; * Develop a variety of machine learning models to solve specific problems and optimize processes; * Participate in and lead meetings with stakeholders to align expectations and communicate results; * Collaborate closely with teams across different areas (e.g., engineering, marketing, and product) to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions; * Perform rigorous testing and validation of implemented models and solutions, ensuring result quality and reliability. **Prerequisites for Application:** * Alignment with our culture; * Practical knowledge of Python, with experience building, training, and evaluating machine learning models; * Knowledge of statistics, probability, statistical modeling techniques, machine learning, optimization, and recommendation systems; * Ability to analyze complex problems and develop data-driven solutions, approaching business challenges with an analytical mindset; * Passion for technology and innovation, with active interest in tracking industry trends and best practices in ML; * Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse teams, stakeholders, and fellow data scientists; * Residency in São Paulo and availability to work in a hybrid model (3 days per week onsite); **Nice-to-Have:** * Practical experience with Databricks; * Knowledge and hands-on experience handling and analyzing financial data, with ability to extract relevant insights for the sector; * Practical knowledge of the Kedro framework, with experience applying it to efficiently structure and manage data science projects; * Experience with linear optimization models.
