Description
We are looking for a **Booking Desk Analyst** to provide support and control booking requests, ensuring organized shipments, adherence to operational deadlines, and efficient communication among clients, shipping lines, agents, and internal departments.
**Responsibilities and duties**
* Submit, track, and confirm bookings with shipping lines, agents, and logistics partners to secure space for international shipments.
* Monitor operational deadlines, cut-off times, VGM, free time, and other information related to the shipment process.
* Track space availability, cargo allocation, and booking status, flagging risks, delays, or prioritization needs.
* Maintain contact with clients, shipping lines, international agents, and internal departments to align operational information.
* Support commercial and operations teams with booking-related information, estimated shipment dates, schedule changes, rollovers, and other updates.
* Record and update information in internal systems, control spreadsheets, and other operational tools.
* Contribute to the organization, traceability, and efficiency of maritime import and/or export processes.
* Resolve operational issues related to space reservation, initial documentation, and shipment confirmation.
**Requirements and qualifications**
* Completed or ongoing undergraduate degree in International Trade, Logistics, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.
* Prior experience in maritime booking, freight forwarding, international trade, import/export, or international logistics operations.
* Knowledge of international shipment processes, shipping lines, space allocation, FCL, LCL, cut-off times, VGM, free time, and operational deadlines.
* Intermediate English proficiency, especially for reading, writing, and communicating with international agents.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Experience with international trade systems, freight forwarding software, or logistics management systems is considered an advantage.
