Ability to prepare price comparisons and evaluate alternatives. Knowledge of carpentry materials and supplies (MDF, plywood, veneers, hardware, accessories, etc.). Basic understanding of logistics (freight, lead times) and fundamental taxation applicable to procurement. Functional proficiency in ERP systems (data entry, queries, history tracking). Intermediate Excel skills (filters, VLOOKUP, comparisons, simple tables). **Responsibilities:** Conduct quotations, negotiations, and procurement of raw materials (MDF, plywood, veneers, hardware, finishing items, and other carpentry supplies). Develop price comparisons and material alternatives to support cost-saving decisions. Negotiate commercial terms with a focus on cost reduction while maintaining quality standards. Identify and develop new suppliers to broaden purchasing options. Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and cost-saving opportunities. Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure continuous supply. Collaborate with Inventory, Production, and PCP teams (as applicable) to align material requirements. Evaluate supplier performance and propose improvements. Prepare simple procurement reports, price history records, and cost-saving results.
