Job Type: Temporary / Freelance (Trade Show) Position: Interpreter and Booth Assistant Location: Convention Center, São Paulo – SP Sector: Healthcare, Medical Equipment and Products Duration: During the trade show days Job Description We are seeking a bilingual Chinese-Portuguese interpreter to provide oral translation support and customer service at our booth during a professional medical trade show in São Paulo. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth communication between the Chinese team and Brazilian clients, suppliers, and visitors, assisting with negotiations, product presentations of medical equipment, and business lead generation. Key Responsibilities Perform simultaneous and consecutive Chinese-Portuguese interpretation throughout the entire duration of the trade show Assist with reception and customer service for visitors and clients at the booth Translate presentations of medical equipment, including features and technical specifications Support commercial negotiations, answer questions, and mediate technical and business discussions Record contact information of potential clients and perform basic lead follow-up Assist the team with booth organization and customer flow management during the event Requirements Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese; agile and accurate oral interpretation skills Resident of São Paulo or nearby region (local candidates preferred) Basic familiarity with medical/hospital equipment terminology (preferred) Prior experience in trade shows, events, or commercial translation is a plus Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, proactivity, and negotiation ability Full availability during all event days and hours Responsibility, punctuality, and quick learning ability Benefits and Compensation Attractive compensation; immediate payment upon completion of the event Experience at an international medical industry trade show Service provision certificate (if required) Professional work environment and experienced team How to Apply Interested candidates should send a direct message including a brief personal introduction, relevant experience in translation/trade shows, and desired rate.
