**Responsibilities of a Duct Technician:**
**Role:** A professional responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of metal ducts and components used in ventilation, exhaust, air conditioning, and industrial or commercial climate control systems.
**Main Activities:**
* Fabricate and assemble ducts (metal, rectangular, circular, or flexible) according to project specifications, technical requirements, and safety standards.
* Perform measurements, cutting, bending, and adjustment of metal sheets using hand tools and specialized equipment (electric shears, guillotines, brakes, etc.).
* Install ducts on structures, supports, and cable trays, ensuring proper alignment, fixation, and sealing.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, and isometric diagrams.
* Install accessories such as elbows, dampers, grilles, registers, and distribution boxes.
* Ensure duct sealing by applying sealants, thermal insulation, and acoustic insulation where required.
* Participate in system operational testing and implement corrections.
* Maintain workplace organization and compliance with occupational safety regulations (NRs).
* Guide the duct technician assistant during tasks.

**ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION – DUCT TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT**
**Role:** A support professional assisting the duct technician in duct and HVAC system component fabrication, assembly, and installation tasks.
**Main Activities:**
* Assist in material and duct handling, organization, and movement at construction sites or workshops.
* Support the duct technician in cutting, bending, and preparing parts.
* Assist in duct, support, and accessory installation and fixation.
* Prepare and apply seals, insulation, and finishing as directed by the supervisor/duct technician.
* Keep the workplace clean, organized, and safe.
* Sort materials and tools required for each work stage.
* Assist in basic project reading and interpretation when necessary.
* Strictly comply with occupational safety regulations.
