You will be responsible for negotiating and purchasing direct materials in the international market, fulfilling production requirements while meeting delivery deadlines, maintaining material quality standards, and securing optimal commercial terms with suppliers. You will play a critical role in the success of our business. In this position, you will report to the Procurement Coordinator. This position is primarily based in Sorocaba and involves up to 10% travel. Team you’ll join You will join an Aggregates Procurement team focused on direct materials, dedicated to meeting quality and cost requirements for purchased items and ensuring timely receipt of goods as scheduled. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including planning, production, and quality teams. What you’ll do Review import shipment documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading). Track supplier booking dates. Update delivery dates in SAP according to vessel or aircraft arrival dates. Create shipments in our import system to ensure document visibility for customs brokers. Submit tax payment amounts to Metso Finance at the time of DI/DUIMP registration. Monitor customs clearance performed by the customs broker. Track and verify all expenses incurred during the import process and record them in the import system for payment by Metso Finance. Follow up with freight forwarders to ensure port or airport arrival dates meet Metso’s needs and are reflected in SAP for planning purposes. Follow up with carriers for loading and delivery to Metso on the required date. Perform other related duties as requested, instructed, or supervised by your immediate supervisor to contribute to team success and your professional development. Who you are Currently pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, or related fields. Experience in import-related activities. Professional experience in contracting logistics partners. Experience with tariff classification, duty exemption programs (ex-tariff), tax incentives (drawback, RECOF), and international documentation (AWB, HAWB, commercial invoice, packing list, certificates of origin). Proficiency in spreadsheets, BI tools, logistics KPIs, and feasibility analysis. Strong knowledge of customs legislation. Familiarity with SAP and TMS is considered a plus.
