Plan, execute, and document tests, managing defects in Azure DevOps Grupo Seres is recruiting a Quality Testing Technician to plan, design, and execute tests aimed at identifying defects, failures, and inconsistencies in our systems. The role involves close collaboration with development, product, and support teams to ensure deliverables meet business requirements and excellence standards. **Job Challenge** * **Ensure system stability** in a continuous delivery environment, balancing sprint velocity with test accuracy. * **Increase test coverage**, identifying exception scenarios and critical failures before they reach production. * **Act as a quality enabler**, translating business requirements into technical test scenarios and collaborating to reduce rework between development and product teams. * **Defect prevention**, proactively identifying defects through critical analysis of requirements from the start of the lifecycle. **Responsibilities** * **Planning and Documentation:** Develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance scripts based on acceptance criteria and functional requirements. * **Test Execution:** Perform manual, functional, integration, and regression tests across different environments, ensuring integrity of new features and legacy systems. * **UI and API Testing:** Validate user experience (UI/UX) and perform technical endpoint testing using tools such as Postman, ensuring correct inter-system communication. * **Defect Management:** Identify, log, and classify bugs in Azure DevOps, providing clear evidence (logs, screenshots, reproduction steps) to accelerate resolution. * **Agile Lifecycle Engagement:** Actively participate in Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives, and dedicated team meetings, reporting test status and flagging potential delivery risks or blockers. **Requirements** * **Education:** Completed or ongoing technical or undergraduate degree in IT. * **Testing Methodologies:** Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques (functional, regression, integration, acceptance, etc.). * **Artifact Creation:** Ability to create clear and detailed test plans, test cases, and defect reports. * **Lifecycle Management:** Familiarity with test case management and bug tracking tools (Azure DevOps). * **Databases:** SQL knowledge for querying and manipulating test data. **Preferred Qualifications** * **Prior Experience:** Previous experience conducting software testing. * **API Testing:** Familiarity with tools such as Postman or SOAP for endpoint validation. * **Agile Methodologies:** Prior experience working in Scrum or Kanban-based teams.
