Job Summary: The professional will perform marking, inspection, and defect removal on billets, as well as manage storage/shipping and input data into production systems. Key Highlights: 1. We seek professionals with the following competencies: * Engagement/collaboration * Commitment * Communication * Future-oriented mindset * Proactivity * Relationship management * Innovation/learning and development * Safe behavior **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform hot marking during production across all heats and subsequent cold identification as required, using steelmaking chalk and/or paint to ensure traceability of billets per heat; * Conduct hot and/or cold inspections according to the procedure defined for each product. Cut and prepare samples whenever requested, using available equipment (torch, band saw, and shot-blasting machine) to characterize defects present in billets more precisely, thereby preventing defective products from reaching customers and avoiding steel loss; * Remove defects from billets via grinding or by repurposing them into other billet lengths, ensuring that irregularities do not reach customers and minimizing losses; * Carry out storage/shipping operations in accordance with the received schedule, using electronic spreadsheets, an information system (SGA), and visual inspection in designated areas, to prevent mixing of steel grades and ensure timely delivery to customers; * Input production data into the steel plant’s management system (SGA) and the continuous casting supervisory system, ensuring information conformity and up-to-date records. **Requirements and Qualifications** **MANDATORY:** * Completed High School education. **Additional Information** * Meal Ticket; * On-site meals; * Unimed Health Plan – Nationwide Coverage; * Dental Plan; * Profit and Results Sharing Program (PLR); * Chartered Transportation and/or Transport Allowance; * Medication Program; * Supplementary Pension Plan; * Vacation Return Bonus; * School Kit for employees’ children aged 3–18; * Daycare Assistance for female employees with children up to 3 years old; * Christmas Basket; * Partnership with AERT Club (Tubarão Recreation Association); * Welhub; * Life Insurance. **Learn More About Us** Founded in Guadalajara (Mexico) in 1969, the Simec Group began operations producing steel bars, sections, and rebars.
