**Job Description**
* Perform analytical activities for the respective laboratories to which the role is assigned, and assign and monitor tasks for assistant, associate, and junior analyst positions;
* The position must oversee and ensure completion of laboratory analyses and processes, delivering final analysis results to the end client within the agreed timeframe;
* The position works directly with laboratory coordination;
* Conduct analyses according to analytical methods specified by accreditation bodies, evaluate quality controls, meet deadlines agreed upon with clients, and enter analysis results into software/spreadsheets and physical records, performing critical analysis of results;
* Conduct internal equipment verifications and qualifications, manage laboratory inventory, and provide information regarding material procurement needs;
* Train assistants, associates, and junior analysts; in their absence, perform their duties or redistribute tasks among these roles;
* Dispose of samples in accordance with established protocols for pollution prevention, occupational health, and safety applicable to the area;
* Receive samples, prepare reagents and other analytical supplies, and handle laboratory samples;
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology;
* Active CRQ or CRBIO registration;
* Intermediate-level Microsoft Office proficiency;
* Experience in environmental laboratories;
