Job Summary: We are seeking a Special Processes Technician in Vila Velha/ES, responsible for welding, splicing, and electrical/hydraulic testing of electro-hydraulic umbilicals, reporting to the Offshore Manager. Assists in developing welding procedure specifications ### **Team Overview and Job Responsibilities:** ### **We are looking for a Special Processes Technician to join our team based in Vila Velha/ES, Brazil, reporting to the Offshore Manager. You will be responsible for special processes, including welding, splicing (electrical and optical cables), and electrical and hydraulic testing of electro-hydraulic umbilicals.** ### **Functions and Responsibilities: Special Processes Technician.** * Assist in developing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for various super duplex pipe diameters and wall thicknesses using manual or automatic TIG welding; * Assist in developing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for various aluminum electrical conductor gauges using manual MIG welding; * Perform welding on umbilical armor wires in accordance with applicable WPS, using manual processes; * Conduct standard electrical tests (insulation resistance, conductor resistance, and high voltage), as specified in API, ISO, and IET standards. * Support the development of new processes related to umbilical component and umbilical cable splicing for implementation in the manufacturing process whenever required; * Prepare and assemble electrical connectors onto umbilical cables, using technical procedures such as cutting, sanding, adjustments, precision measurements, etc. * Perform leak-tightness, continuity, and insulation resistance tests, among others, on electrical connectors during final assembly to verify integrity according to technical and quality standards. * Ensure all activities comply with technical standards and procedures, respecting quality, safety, and environmental requirements. ### **Who Are We Looking For?** **We seek a candidate with the following competencies and motivations:** * ### **Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or extensive proven experience in special welding from prior projects;** * ### **Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel);** * ### **Intermediate English is desirable.** *Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
