HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION Are you detail-oriented, responsible, and do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment? Then this opportunity is for you! We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Operate or maneuver machinery up to 170 HP * Operate crawler tractors for waste spreading, compaction, and landfill cover; * Use roller compactors for soil compaction; * Operate machinery in strict compliance with safety regulations and limits, taking all necessary precautions to prevent spills, rollovers, collisions, and cargo leakage * Maintain machinery in optimal cleanliness and operational condition * Verify equipment operating conditions—including water level, oil level, filters, etc.—prior to commencing work (completed checklist); * Report equipment issues to the maintenance department and/or supervisor; * Monitor equipment activities and corresponding ohmmeter readings, accurately completing daily logs per coordination instructions. * Use hydraulic excavators for truck loading, drainage construction, waste unloading, trench excavation, and other applicable tasks. * Use front-end loaders for material loading in areas requiring higher productivity, and other applicable tasks.
