Ensure that all service components available to users—and their respective statuses—are recorded in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Conduct periodic reviews and audits to verify the physical existence of service components provided to users and their accurate registration in the CMDB. Promote interaction between Configuration Management, Change Management, and Incident/Problem Management services and other specialized IT areas. Monitor quality indicators related to service delivery. Establish and monitor, using environment monitoring tools, mechanisms required for proactive evaluation, capacity management, and availability management of the IT environment and services. Assist MTP’s DTI in administering the IT service catalog by adding or removing items from the catalog and adjusting their association with specific service levels. Proactively conduct results evaluation, trend analysis, and identification of opportunities and resources for continuous improvement of the environment (people, processes, and technologies). Report operational status information about the environment to managers. Collect and consolidate all necessary information for controlling and monitoring the IT environment. Monitor and analyze alerts and performance indicators provided by the IT environment monitoring tool. Identify and communicate infrastructure adaptation needs in response to foreseeable demands. Develop action plans to ensure correct implementation of changes and updates in the IT environment. Attend weekly meetings to track the flow and progress of change and improvement processes in the IT environment. Review and update operational procedures, which must be approved.
