Job Summary: Professional responsible for mounting, repairing, and maintaining tires on urban buses and support vehicles, ensuring fleet safety and optimal performance. Key Highlights: 1. Specialized mounting and repair of heavy vehicle tires 2. Preventive and corrective maintenance of tires and inner tubes 3. Operation of specialized rubber shop equipment * Mount and dismount tires on urban buses and support fleet vehicles. * Perform repairs, vulcanizations, and fixes on tires and inner tubes. * Conduct tire inflation and periodic inspections, checking for wear, cuts, deformations, and other damages. * Rotate tires according to the preventive maintenance schedule. * Monitor tire service life and wear, recording information in reports or internal systems. * Identify tire replacement needs and inform immediate supervisor. * Assist with wheel alignment and balancing when required. * Operate pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and specialized rubber shop tools. * Maintain workplace organization, cleanliness, and proper care of equipment and tools. * Comply with occupational safety regulations and correctly use mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE). * Respond to emergency calls for tire replacement on vehicles operating off-site, as needed. * Support the mechanical maintenance team in related workshop activities. Requirements: * Completed elementary education. * Prior experience as a heavy vehicle tire technician, preferably with buses or trucks. * Knowledge of radial and conventional heavy vehicle tires. * Driver's license category B or higher is desirable.
