Description

Ensure legal compliance and effectiveness of occupational safety practices, serving as a technical reference in identifying, assessing, and controlling occupational risks. Promote a safety culture within the organization, ensuring operational activities are conducted according to ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) standards through structured methodologies, technical development of teams, and governance of OSH processes. **Responsibilities and Duties** Identify, assess, and propose controls for critical risks present in operational activities, ensuring exposure levels remain within ALARP parameters; Develop and propose executive methodologies and solutions that eliminate or minimize workers' exposure to hazardous agents during field activities; Systematically monitor the effectiveness of implemented operational controls, promoting reviews and updates whenever improvement opportunities are identified; Stay up-to-date with current occupational health and safety legislation, interpreting and applying regulatory norms and industry best practices, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and practicality of solutions; Ensure compliance with legal requirements applicable to site operations and activities, guiding teams on regulatory obligations and deadlines for compliance; Lead and provide technical support in investigations of occupational accidents and incidents, using root cause analysis methodologies to identify systemic failures and propose effective mitigating actions; Monitor implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions arising from non-conformities, investigations, audits, and inspections, tracking their sustainability beyond the initial implementation period; Participate in the development, review, and execution of emergency response plans, proposing improvements to ensure adequate preparedness both at construction sites and in industrial operations and processes; Support emergency response drills and training, evaluating the effectiveness of actions and proposing adjustments to operational procedures; Ensure governance of contractor supervision activities, especially at construction sites, guaranteeing compliance with established OSH standards and optimizing routines for on-site Occupational Safety Technicians (OST); Evaluate contractor safety performance through indicators, inspections, and audits, reporting deviations and recommending corrective and preventive measures; Promote a safety culture at the site through continuous awareness initiatives, supervision, and monitoring of construction, operations, and industrial processes, encouraging proactive behaviors and visible safety leadership; Contribute to the technical capacity building of the OSH team, fostering continuous learning through sharing of operational experiences, best practices, and regulatory updates; Recommend and monitor maintenance and enhancement actions for the 5S Program at the site, reinforcing organization, standardization, and operational discipline; Perform job duties in full compliance with all organizational safety, health, and environmental work standards and procedures, and consistently use all mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) required for performing job and departmental tasks. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees completed (Occupational Safety Engineering); * Solid experience in occupational safety within industrial operations; * Experience in risk management and classified areas; * Up-to-date knowledge of OSH legislation and standards; * Knowledge of Power BI is considered an advantage; * Willingness to travel frequently.
