If you seek challenging and disruptive projects, KAVAK is the place for you. **Mission of this role**: The primary responsibilities of an Internal Auditor involve supporting Kavak’s compliance efforts with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (“SOX”) by performing tests and documentation activities related to internal controls over financial reporting (“ICFR”). The Internal Auditor role includes executing SOX/ICFR testing and documentation, identifying control deficiencies, and interacting with stakeholders in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina to ensure consistent application of internal controls. **Responsibilities**: * Evaluate the design of various controls addressing process risks; * Perform effectiveness testing of key controls for assigned procedures; * Support preparation of SOX artifacts, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations; * Identify control gaps or deficiencies, including recommending process improvements to safeguard assets; * Support drafting and issuing the Internal Audit Report, discussing deficiencies with relevant departments to agree on action plans and correction timelines; * Provide regional support to ensure consistent methodology and execution across Brazil, Chile, and Argentina; * Document process narratives, flowcharts, control descriptions, and risk-and-control matrices (RCMs) in accordance with SOX 404. * Understand and document process narratives and control descriptions per SOX requirements; * Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of existing controls and processes. * Conduct walkthroughs (end-to-end process reviews), assessing the design of various controls, tracing a transaction through the process, and identifying key controls to be tested for operational effectiveness. * Execute testing procedures, including data extraction, sample selection, evidence requests, analysis performance, and test result documentation. * Document control deficiencies and prepare preliminary observations for inclusion in reports. * Provide guidance and recommendations to control owners to strengthen the internal control environment. **Requirements**: * Experience in internal audit, internal controls, or risk consulting, with focus on SOX/ICFR testing; * Solid knowledge of risk management, internal controls, SOX, and other relevant regulations; * Experience in control testing, process evaluation, and corrective action plan management; * Proficiency in data analysis and relevant systems such as ACL, IDEA, Tableau, and similar tools; * Bilingual – professional proficiency in English and Spanish; **What Kavak Offers You:** * Medical and Dental Insurance; * WellHub (GymPass); * Meal Allowance and/or Food Allowance; * Mobility Allowance or Commuter Benefit; * Free On-site Parking; * Chartered Transportation (at no cost); * Life Insurance; * Birthday Day Off; * Discount for purchasing cars. **About Kavak** Kavak launched the revolution in the automotive market in 2016, creating a data- and technology-driven platform that buys, reconditions, and sells used cars online or at company premises (hubs), backed by full security, reliability guarantees, and best-in-class financing options.
