The integrated power plant area, together with its associated energy and utility distribution systems, ensures the site’s energy supply through the Energy Operations department. Your responsibilities include operating and monitoring power plant and energy distribution systems at the Donawitz site, aiming for optimal utilization of generated process by-products (e.g., blast furnace gases, waste heat), ensuring critical utility supply to the site, and delivering efficient district heating to the greater Leoben area. Specifically, these responsibilities cover the following system areas: * Power plant systems including steam and heat supply to the site * Cold air systems for cold air supply to blast furnace operations * Cooling water systems including water treatment * High- and medium-voltage distribution networks on-site Operating these system areas includes: * Independent system monitoring via screen-based controls or on-site * Efficient utilization of process by-products and heat extraction * Compliance with technical and regulatory limits * Conducting routine system inspection rounds * Maintaining operational logs, troubleshooting, and documentation * Supporting maintenance and repair activities * Work is performed in shift operation (4-shift system) Your Profile ---------- * Completed vocational training in electrical/mechatronic engineering * Knowledge of measurement and control technology, automation technology (experience in power plant environments is advantageous) * Proficiency in standard MS Office applications * Willingness to work shifts (4-shift system) * Valid Class B driver’s license What We Offer -------------- **Compensation and Benefits:** The minimum gross monthly salary for this position (in 4-shift operation, including weekend duty) ranges from €4\.260,00 to €4\.770,00 (paid 14 times per year), inclusive of allowances and supplements.
