At 89 years old, the José Silveira Foundation (FJS) continues its health-related work and complementary initiatives promoting healthy living, honoring the memory of its founder, Professor José Silveira. With an annual average of over 1.2 million consultations and procedures—primarily provided through Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS) and philanthropy—the Institution’s impact extends beyond Salvador, reaching other cities in Bahia, such as Jequié, Santo Amaro, and Itapetinga. This journey began in 1937 with the work of Professor José Silveira, one of the world’s most respected specialists in phthisiology. As an idealist, he initially fought—without support or resources—to combat tuberculosis in the basement of the Augusto Viana Outpatient Clinic at the former Bahia School of Medicine, the original nucleus of the unit that would later become an international reference for treating patients afflicted with the disease: the Brazilian Institute for Tuberculosis Research (IBIT). **Responsibilities and Duties** * Receive, inspect, and store items in accordance with current regulations; * Divide and label; * Separate and verify prescribed/requisitioned materials and medications as requested; * Provide counter services upon manual requisition or via system; * Manage inventory of materials and medications, verifying expiration dates, batch numbers, organization, and environmental cleanliness; * Notify when specific materials or medications reach the predetermined minimum stock level; * Divide medications according to demand; * Dispense medications and materials to requesting units, ensuring supply safety; * Perform other duties relevant to the position. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Completed pharmacy assistant course or currently enrolled in a pharmacy technician program; * Prior experience in this role is desirable.
