




**Responsibilities and Duties** Execute, with excellence, routine tasks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the assigned area, Perform laboratory technical activities. Collect biological specimens for clinical laboratory tests and transport them to the laboratory. Receive and verify slides and forms, correctly performing staining and mounting procedures for slides, as well as ensuring proper organization of slides and forms for subsequent reading. Archive slides and register forms in the SISCAN system, and enter results into the SMPEP system when necessary. Print signed test results from the mobile unit. Deliver test results to the specialized support center and printed documents from the mobile unit, properly logged, to the appropriate department, if required. Prepare a monthly report on the number of tests performed per cost center. Perform other related duties as needed or at the discretion of the supervisor. Maintain all laboratory equipment in calibrated condition, including insertion and interpretation of daily quality controls provided by a certified and contracted company. Analyze, on a monthly basis, samples sent by the institution’s contracted company and report results to that company for national comparison across all participating laboratories in the network. Possess minimum knowledge of CIQ (Internal Quality Control) to ensure tests are properly conducted. Have full knowledge of the location of control samples, as well as their usage technique and interpretation. Report equipment operational status and calibration condition during shift handover, as mandatory. Collect samples for testing from the separation bench immediately after labeling of containers by collection staff. Centrifuge containers according to the type of test to be performed. Print work sheets and triage tests for interface processing. Immediately request collection staff to obtain a new sample upon identifying poor sample quality—e.g., hemolyzed serum. Under no circumstances shall such a sample be used for testing. Repeat and verify biochemistry tests flagged with alarms or alerts indicating abnormalities; these must not be printed or sent for verification. Immediately inform the senior professional of severely abnormal test results posing potential health risks to the patient, so they may be reported to the on-duty physician. Promptly report to the responsible senior professional any incidents occurring during task execution that deviate from standard functions, enabling appropriate action. Record in the Non-Conformance Register Log any relevant incident unresolved by senior staff, thereby directly notifying immediate supervision. During shifts, collect samples, process, evaluate, and release results in SMPEP. Run internal controls on equipment. Calibrate equipment, if necessary. **Requirements and Qualifications** Completed technical training in Laboratory or Clinical Pathology.
