This position enables direct involvement in strategic national-level projects with significant impact on the Brazilian Ministry of Health, focused on structuring, integrating, and advancing data governance and infrastructure for health. You will contribute to structural initiatives that support public policies, health surveillance, scientific research, and technological innovation, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, partner institutions, and national programs, within a context of high technical, scientific, and institutional responsibility. This position is **exclusively IN-PERSON**, located at CIDACS headquarters in the **Bahia Technology Park – Tecnocentro Building, Rua Mundo 121, Trobogy**. This research fellowship is administered by the Fiocruz Support Foundation \- FIOTEC. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Support research and formatting, extraction, and analysis of datasets that underpin research on large-scale database linkage and geocoding; * Support specification, development, deployment, and maintenance of address database solutions; * Support execution of data linkage routines for research purposes, identifying the most suitable solutions; * Assist in technical documentation of systems, workflows, and procedures; * Contribute to basic testing (functional and integration) and validation of data integration tasks; * Adhere to best practices in information security, confidentiality, and ethical use of sensitive data; * Participate in bug fixes, improvements, and minor enhancements to existing systems; * Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, architects, and ICT teams. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed undergraduate degree in **Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering**, or related fields. **BASIC KNOWLEDGE** * Understanding of **programming logic and data structures**. * Knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably **Python**). * Familiarity with distributed computing solutions (e.g., Spark and Elasticsearch). * Basic knowledge of **relational databases** (e.g., PostgreSQL or similar). * Familiarity with **Git** for code versioning. * Basic understanding of **REST APIs** and system integration. **INTERPERSONAL SKILLS** * Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from more experienced professionals. * Organizational ability and responsibility in task execution. * Capacity to work collaboratively and follow technical guidance. * Curiosity, proactivity, and interest in continuous professional development. * Attention to detail and commitment to quality. **DESIRABLE BUT NOT MANDATORY** **OTHER QUALIFICATIONS** * Prior experience (internships, scientific initiation, or academic projects) in data engineering or data analysis. * Familiarity with the scientific method. * Familiarity with health-related databases and address attributes. * Familiarity with geospatial analysis. * Basic knowledge of **Python**. * Familiarity with **Docker**. * Introductory knowledge of **Linux**. * Interest in data, data science, health, or bioinformatics. * Basic understanding of the **LGPD** (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and information security. * Basic technical English for reading documentation. * Interest in learning about **containers, pipelines, and data platforms**. **Additional Information** The offered research fellowship ranges from R$ 3\.500,00 to R$ 4\.500,00, depending on the candidate’s education level and experience. The fellowship is administered by FIOTEC under the WT \- Clima project, where you will join a multidisciplinary, engaged, and motivated team committed to achieving the project’s objectives. The CIDACS conducts studies and research based on interdisciplinary projects arising from the linkage of large volumes of data to enhance understanding of social and environmental determinants and policies affecting population health.
