Focus on safety, waste reduction, and productivity improvement **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:** Someone to join our Paper Area team at the **Pirapetinga Unit**, responsible for supporting problem-solving in production processes through critical analysis and use of quality tools, contributing to process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity improvement. **Responsibilities and Duties** **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** * Participate in data collection for process and system optimization projects, focusing on safety, waste reduction, and productivity improvement * Support implementation of continuous improvement actions defined by management * Perform low-complexity statistical analyses and conduct data collection for more advanced studies * Organize and maintain input inventories, ensuring quality, availability, and control of the safety coefficient * Compile process data for analyses and studies as required * Assist in preparing engineering documents, process flowcharts, control charts, and work instructions * Suggest revisions to procedures, work instructions, and ASTs, contributing safety insights * Maintain updated databases for KPI analysis, executing low-complexity corrective actions * Monitor low-complexity activities during scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns **Requirements and Qualifications** **WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:** **Bachelor’s degree in:** Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields Knowledge of operational procedure development Knowledge of Work Instructions Intermediate English **Tools and Systems:** Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with PI System (Datalink, Processbook, PI AF) is desirable Basic knowledge of Minitab is desirable Specific Skills and Knowledge Familiarity with quality tools (PDCA, 5W1H, Ishikawa, Lean Manufacturing) Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and process flowcharts Knowledge of Brazilian Regulatory Norms (NR\-10/12/13/33/35\) Familiarity with pulp and paper manufacturing processes Familiarity with industrial waste management Knowledge of quality management standards **Additional Information** **Work Location** --------------------- Pirapetinga/MG *(On-site)* **Why work with us?** ------------------------------ A safe, collaborative, and continuous improvement-oriented environment, focused on operational innovation and professional development. **Smurfit Westrock**, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging, operates in 40 countries with over 500 packaging conversion operations and 62 paper mills.
