Founded by Norberto Jaeger in 1946, Companhia Minuano de Alimentos began as a small paper packaging and printing factory, changing its business focus in 1955 to enter the poultry industry. In the 1970s, it became one of Brazil's largest poultry meat producers and participated in founding the Brazilian Association of Broiler Producers and Exporters (Abef), which later became União Brasileira de Avicultura (Ubabef) in 2010, establishing itself as a national reference in the sector. In 1984, Minuano acquired a sausage production plant in Arroio do Meio, supplied with raw materials from integrated poultry slaughter units, expanding its presence within the food segment. Today, Minuano operates a vertically integrated poultry chain, managing operations from breeding farms to poultry production and slaughter, ensuring quality throughout every stage. The industrial complex consists of seven units: Slaughterhouse and Cold Storage, Sausage Factory, Hatchery, Breeding Farms, Feed Mill, and Administrative Center. With its poultry operations focused on providing services to third parties, the company strives to produce and deliver high-quality food, concentrating its efforts on sausage production, reinforcing its brand strength and consumer recognition. The company exports to over 30 countries across four continents. In the domestic market, nearly 30 products make up its product mix, available throughout the state of Rio Grande do Sul, reaffirming the brand's close connection with the Gaúcho people.
