Requirements: **Job Description** We seek a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with hands-on experience in data engineering and distributed systems, responsible for developing, operating, and evolving optimization models based on Genetic Algorithms—ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability in an AWS environment. This professional works end-to-end on solution delivery, with autonomy to implement pipelines, integrate services, and fine-tune optimization models—all aligned with existing architectural principles and technical guidelines. **Key Responsibilities** **Data Platform & Pipelines** Implement, maintain, and evolve data ingestion and processing pipelines across the RAW, TRUSTED, and REFINED layers. Develop ingestion processes using AWS Lambda. Manage data in Amazon S3 (Landing and Output), using Parquet, JSON, and execution metadata. Make data available for querying and analysis via Amazon Athena. Ensure data quality, versioning, and traceability. Perform reprocessing and adjustments on existing pipelines. **Machine Learning & Optimization** Develop, maintain, and tune optimization models based on Genetic Algorithms. Adjust parameters and fitness functions to achieve: * Higher solution quality * Reduced execution time * Result stability and convergence Evaluate outcomes and support continuous improvement of operational performance. Operate and evolve existing production models. **Distributed Systems & Integration** Integrate processing services using Amazon SQS for: * Triggering executions * Asynchronous message consumption * Returning results and metadata Ensure efficient integration with consuming systems (Planner, Front-End, Back-End, and Database). Publish execution outputs, including: * Optimization results * Technical logs * Functional and operational metadata **Operations, Scaling & Observability** Support daily operations of production pipelines and models. Implement and maintain basic logging and metrics. Diagnose failures and support fixes in production environments. Contribute to improvements in robustness, reliability, and scalability.
