The Farias Brito Educational Organization, with 90 years of history in the education sector, is seeking a Text Editor to join our team.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
A professional holding a bachelor’s degree in Languages (Portuguese or related fields), with advanced mastery of standard Brazilian Portuguese and proven experience editing texts for the graphic and publishing markets.
Must be capable of reviewing printed and digital content, ensuring grammatical, orthographic, syntactic, and stylistic accuracy, as well as textual appropriateness for the target audience, institutional language, and editorial guidelines.
Meticulous attention to detail, strong concentration skills, critical thinking ability, and agility in reading and textual analysis are essential. The candidate must also be able to collaborate synergistically with multidisciplinary teams, especially those in design, copywriting, marketing, and graphic production.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **Education and Technical Qualifications:**
* Completed bachelor’s degree in Languages (Portuguese or related fields).
* Excellent command of standard Brazilian Portuguese.
* Technical knowledge of grammar, orthography, semantics, and textual cohesion.
* Familiarity with editorial standards and textual style.
* Knowledge of ABNT standards is desirable.
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office suite) and familiarity with digital tools relevant to the publishing field.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Prior experience editing texts for graphic materials (books, magazines, brochures, etc.) and digital content.
* Experience in publishing, graphic, or advertising environments.
* Experience with proofreading, critical reading, and textual standardization.
