And of course, we are always looking for talented people to help us have a positive impact on our industry and beyond! **About the position:** We are seeking an Indirect Procurement Supervisor for our Cocoa operation located in Ilhéus-BA, to join the plant management team and our Global Procurement Organization. This position is responsible for the indirect spend portfolio. Indirect spend encompasses all technical, non-technical, and service-related expenditures (including categories managed at regional or group level), such as Capex and MRO, packaging, energy, facility management, laboratory consumables/services/equipment, G&A-related expenditures, and generally any expenditure beyond direct spend. The Indirect Procurement Supervisor will report directly to the Cocoa Brazil Indirect Procurement Manager. **Key responsibilities include:** * Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the most efficient procurement of all spend categories within scope, achieving optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). * Create and manage continuous action plans to consistently reduce procurement costs across cocoa factories and branches, aligned with assigned targets. * Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate closely with them to ensure effective alignment with Procurement. * Ensure relevant procurement practices are applied to scope categories (strategic, tactical, spot-buy) and actively “own” assigned categories. * Ensure compliance with Group procurement processes. * Act as the liaison between the Procurement Team and Regional and Global Procurement Organizations, understand global agreements and procedures, and ensure their implementation. * Generate regular and ad-hoc reports. * Maintain up-to-date documentation for all procurement activities and conduct supplier performance evaluations. * Manage supplier performance and relationships to ensure facilities have the right supplier base delivering the right performance (service, quality, TCO). * Ensure rigorous “house-keeping” across all Procurement department tasks (control compliance, KPIs, open POs, etc.). * Support and/or lead resolution of issues between suppliers and internal stakeholders. * Provide ad-hoc support to other country/region projects. * Analyze historical spend data (spend analysis) and budgets to define category strategies. * Manage all contracts related to indirect spend within your portfolio. * Understand market dynamics, research and evaluate suppliers. * Apply procurement process flows according to category strategy. * Define specific terms and conditions. * Negotiate proposals and finalize contracts. * Support supplier relationship management and drive value creation through supplier innovation. * Drive continuous improvement (cost and service) for assigned supply categories. * Monitor and report on savings and cost reduction outcomes across procurement processes. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field is preferred. * Full Microsoft Office Suite proficiency is mandatory. * Knowledge of SAP and/or Maximo is preferred. * Solid minimum 4–5 years of experience in indirect procurement within medium- to large-sized or international companies (preferably in food/pharmaceutical/chemical industries). * Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively under high demand, time management capability, and teamwork orientation. **Location: Ilhéus – Bahia** At Barry Callebaut, we are committed to Diversity & Inclusion.
