Join us in living the new! **ATTENTION: AXIA Energia does not charge fees for tests, medical exams, or participation in the selection process.** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Develop Industry 4.0 projects and solutions for grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including conceptual layouts, single-line diagrams, and support for detailed project development—from control and protection architecture to integration with supervisory systems (SCADA). * Define and validate communication architectures for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), ensuring interoperability among devices and their integration with supervisory and control platforms. Implementation must include established industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus RTU/TCP, CAN, IEC 61850) and Internet of Things (IoT)-oriented solutions—including MQTT—as well as web-service-based interfaces (RESTful APIs), guaranteeing robustness, scalability, and compliance with cybersecurity requirements. * Design cloud computing (AWS) supervisory system network architectures, incorporating information security measures (VPN and firewall). * Establish guidelines, monitor, and evaluate routine tests, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site commissioning tests, and commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and all associated equipment—ensuring proper operation within operational and maintenance standards. * Analyze technologies, products, and suppliers for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to support adoption of innovative solutions and define technical criteria for qualification and selection of potential partners. * Prepare written technical reports conveying battery energy storage concepts, use cases, and feasibility study results for the project pipeline. * Perform and validate sizing of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), considering their functionalities and project contexts. * Perform and validate simulations using software applications involving Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). * Develop engineering plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and milestone construction documents for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. * Support the pipeline in identifying, defining, and implementing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) use cases—both centralized and/or distributed. * Provide technical support across all phases of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, including: a) Project planning and monitoring; b) Preparation of sketches and preliminary designs, when required; c) Development of new technological standards to enrich technical specifications; d) Preparation and updating of Technical Specifications (TS), Terms of Reference, and Basic Projects; e) Development of equipment, systems, and supplier evaluation; f) Preparation of Executive Studies; g) Technical opinions on equipment and systems; h) Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT); i) Commissioning and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT). **Requirements and Qualifications** **Mandatory Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering, with active registration at CREA. * Proven experience in electrical/energy engineering projects—especially in energy storage systems (BESS). * Hands-on experience in development, specification, implementation, and commissioning of BESS projects. * Experience technically leading small teams and coordinating third-party contractors. * Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders. * Intermediate or advanced English proficiency. **Desirable Requirements:** * Experience in prospecting new technologies and innovation in the electric power sector. * Systemic vision and analytical capability. **Additional Information** **Benefits:** At AXIA Energia, the well-being and quality of life of our people drive the energy that powers us.
