### **Summary:** AgroReservas do Brasil is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller provides daily accounting and financial support to operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal regulations. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing internal controls, and supporting audits, thereby protecting the company's assets and reputation. **Responsibilities:** * Prepare, analyze, and report monthly financial statements to the Controller and local management. * Ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of all accounting and financial records, reports, and forecasts. * Participate in the preparation of operating and capital budgets. Monitor and report budget variances. * Prepare financial statements in accordance with Brazilian accounting principles and standards. * Manage Fixed Assets: monthly monitoring, assessment of useful life, annual inventory, and impairment tests. * Maintain and analyze accounting entries to ensure proper allocation of costs and expenses. * Advise managers on financial and budgetary matters when necessary. * Recommend process improvements and support the development and monitoring of projects. * Supervise accounts payable, including review, coding, approval, and timely payment; prepare accounting entries for corporate card transactions. * Participate in regular meetings with the Controller to coordinate monthly financial processes. * Lead the accounting team, setting goals, evaluating performance, and promoting talent development through frequent formal and informal training. * Ensure compliance with internal controls and local legal/regulatory requirements. * Supervise the calculation of federal, state, and municipal taxes and the preparation of related ancillary obligations. Manage tax credits and identify opportunities to reduce tax burden. * Implement necessary changes required by the consumption tax reform. * Assist in process improvement and supervision of project development. * Proactively collaborate with managers to maximize business profitability. * Support internal and external audits by preparing reports, gathering required documentation, and responding to audit inquiries. * Ensure the security of physical assets, properties, and financial data. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). Postgraduate studies will be considered a plus. * Progressive professional experience in accounting (minimum 8 years). * Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards, preparation of financial statements, and federal, state, and municipal tax regulations. * Knowledge of the consumption tax reform. * Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Totvs, SAP, Oracle or similar). Familiarity with Infor and Synchro systems will be considered a plus. * Advanced skills in spreadsheet software, data extraction, dashboards, and Microsoft Office. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. * Leadership experience, with ability to develop and motivate teams. Minimum of 2 years of experience in leadership/direct supervision of teams. * High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality. * Proficiency in English (written and spoken) will be a plus. * \#ARI ### **Highly desirable:** * CRC registration. * Experience in supporting internal and external audits. * Experience in the agricultural sector or agribusiness-related activities. * Experience with Infor and Synchro systems. * English proficiency.
